The month-end problem
Still doing client billing in Sheets every month?
Managing billing for a handful of Google Ads clients shouldn’t involve a Sunday afternoon of CSV exports and formula checks. Manual workflows are where small errors quietly compound.
Manual workflow
Sheets, CSV, and copy-paste
- 01Export CSV from Google Ads manager account
- 02Clean and filter rows by client
- 03Look up each client's fee rule
- 04Calculate flat, percentage, or tiered fees by hand
- 05Copy-paste lines into the invoice template
With Spend to Invoice
One narrow monthly workflow
- 01Connect your Google Ads manager account
- 02Fee rules persist per client, month to month
- 03Last-month spend pulls automatically
- 04Invoice lines generate with one review step
- 05Export PDF or draft email in one click
How it works
Four steps. One narrow monthly workflow.
Built around how small agencies actually bill: connect once, configure fee rules, then run the workflow each month-end.
- 01
Connect your manager account
Link your Google Ads MCC once. We detect the client accounts under it and remember them month to month.
- 02
Set a fee rule per client
Flat fee, percentage of spend, or flat plus percentage. Rules persist — no redoing the math every cycle.
- 03
Pull last-month spend
Spend data for the closed billing period populates automatically. No CSV exports, no manual cleanup.
- 04
Review and export
Confirm the generated line items, then export a PDF or a draft email ready to send.
Fit check
A sharp tool, not a platform.
Spend to Invoice is intentionally narrow. It does one thing for one kind of team.
Who it's for
- Small PPC and performance agencies managing multiple Google Ads clients
- Teams that bill monthly based on ad spend, management fee, or both
- Operations leads tired of reconciling Sheets at month-end
Who it's not for
- Single-client freelancers who invoice from one spreadsheet
- Agencies that need Meta, LinkedIn, or multi-channel reconciliation
- Teams looking for a full finance suite, client portal, or payments

FAQ
Frequently asked.
Is my Google Ads data secure?
We use Google's official OAuth flow and request read-only scopes for spend data. Credentials are never shared or exported, and you can disconnect at any time.
Which accounting tools do you support?
v1 exports a PDF invoice and a draft email. Direct Xero and QuickBooks integrations are not in scope yet — we want to validate the core workflow first.
Can I set different rules per client?
Yes. Each client has its own fee rule — flat, percentage of spend, or flat plus percentage — and the rule persists between months.
Do you support Meta or other ad channels?
No. Spend to Invoice is deliberately narrow to Google Ads manager-account billing. If you bill across multiple channels, this tool isn't the right fit yet.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is being set with the founding beta cohort. Beta participants lock in preferential pricing at launch.
